Fifth Ward, also known as THE 5TH, has long been a sanctuary for Black artistry. We're teaching our rich history through art and serving artists by amplifying the creativity of our community. We have a commitment to preserving our heritage while expanding the vision & greatness of legendary leaders who around us form the past, present, and into our future. We exhibit excellence and provide empowerment. THE 5TH is a testament to the power of shared stories and artistic resilience.

COMMUNITY ARTS CENTER PROPOSAL
Our proposal outlines a visionary transformation of the existing structure into a state-of-the-art Community Arts Center. This space will serve as a sanctuary for Black artists, a hub for cultural preservation, and a beacon of artistic excellence in THE 5TH. Through intentional design and community-led initiatives, we aim to provide the resources and environment necessary for local talent to thrive and for our collective stories to be told.
